Ford Cummins Conversion

Our project to convert this 500hp 4 door 4x4 2000 F250 to a cummins powered Ford began with a failure to the stock connecting rod.  This failure lead to the broken rod and a nice hole in the side of the motor.

We started by finding a '01 24V Cummins motor with 48k miles complete and had it shipped out.

Our next objective was to remove the motor from the Ford to begin prep for the new Cummins 24V.  Looks like a wonderful place for the cummins doesn't it?

The motor is out we decided to build a custom motor stand to support the weight of the diesel motor.  Overbuilt?  Mabey, but just enough isn't an option.

The cummins is on the stand now it time to build it the way it ought to be from the factory.  The goal is 600hp on fuel.

We are using parts from our store to complete this engine build.  First we start with ARP Head studs and Mach 4 F1 diesel injectors.

Motor is in the truck!

Turbo charger is test fitted.  We are using the HT71 series turbo with 64mm inducer from High Tech turbo.  We had to make a bracket to clear the ATS 3 Piece manifold.  We also had to turn the manifold upside down for clearance.

We had to make some custom bracket to attach the Ford alternator and AC compressor.

We used the Quadzilla XZT+ for timing and the TST powermax 3 for the fueling box.

The truck is making 500hp at the wheels with this set up.  Coming soon a Hot Rod VP44 should put us at the 600hp mark.  We are also toying with the idea of compound turbos.  Maybe we'll be up to 650hp+.  Stay tuned.
